As of December 23rd, RWJ has delivered 44 bikes to Behind Every Door and Interfaith Housing for Dallas area children.
Event Update
Thank you to everyone who participated in making Ride With Jack such a wonderful event. While there is not an exact number of miles ridden, an estimate of 1,500 miles were added to Jack's legacy total of 70,930 in addition to the miles that will be added from the bikes children will receive due to your generosity. Riders rode in Dallas (at one point, over 50 riders were looping White Rock Lake), in Parkland, Florida, Chicago, Charlotte and Watopia.
November 19th was an incredible day, seeing so many of Jack's friends meet at Trek Bicycles to celebrate him. Over 200 lunches were served and many more people stopped by to offer hugs. It was a beautiful day, there were many lycra clad cyclists visiting after their rides, bicycles were parked all over, the Hamburger Man and Dallas Grilled Cheese served lunch, Grateful Dead songs were playing, children were bouncing in a jumping tent and countless other somewhat-unsupervised kids were running amuck. Jack would have loved every minute of it. Jack's daughter Annie spent lots of time in Trek Bicycles checking out the bikes and riding laps through the store. Her father's daughter.
